Can I get into a decent college?

I am a junior in HS and I never really understood the importance of a GPA until the beginning of this school year. I slacked off in my first 2 years and went along thinking that doing good on the SAT would outweigh my GPA. Anyways Long story short I'm going to end up my Junior year with probably a 3.1 GPA for this year and my overall HS GPA will only be a 2.56. For my senior year i plan on putting forth my best effort to try and achieve straight A's to at least show a huge increase in trend and show what I can really do. My only question is if i do get somewhere around 2000 on my sat's...will this be enough to get a college to look past my gpa so i can at least attend somewhere decent?
