When you go to the pound does it make you sad...?

I love dogs and i went to the humane society to look at all the dogs for fun but i ended up getting teary-eyed because the poor things were crying to get out of their cages! I just wanted to buy all of them and take them home with me... but i couldnt. Its not like im a vegetarian who is all for animal-rights, i just have a soft-spot for dogs. Is anyone else like this or am i just weird?
