My wife came here on K-3 visa and lost her pport with I-94 inside it,?

we went to the social security department with the police report, and they said they needed some legal doents to prove she came in USA, now we have her alien number, and form I-765 Employment Authorization, if we fill this out will we be able to get her Social Security Number? If not what else will we need? They also said to make a new pport and go to the DHS office and they can stamp the new pport..please help!!
