How can I stop bounce notices on my Yahoo ID email that I NEVER use other than to sign in?

I only use my Yahoo ID occasionally in order to sign in to add or remove members to the list I own, otherwise NEVER. I find it very annoying that I periodically get notices that my Yahoo ID email address is about to be cancelled for non-use. Most of the lists I am on--all organizational lists--are NOT chat lists. They are primarily announce lists. On even the one I own, I seldom post anything myself, because a member of my group (who has monitor status) does most posting for me. When I do occasionally post to a list, I always do so from my own email program, using my home email address. How can I set my account so that Yahoo accepts that I am NOT going to post anything from my Yahoo ID address, but I DO want it kept valid. "Help" has not been helpful in getting an answer to this.
