Men can you tell me why?

So I went dancing last night with a bunch of older people not my age, I was on the dance floor for a long period dancing just dancing with a few people I knew and I spotted this guy who had my eyes couldn't exactly look at anyone else.....would say I was mesmerized by him and the night was almost up but not yet so, and every guy out on the floor was captivated to dance with me and turned everyone of them down, so me being who I am goes up the guy and asked him to dance and he said no to me, can you men tell me why he would deny me a dance?
